Hey guys, I'm hoping some of our American friends can help me with this one......

I am after information on Panasport wheels. I am looking for information in regards to sizes, offsets and stud patterns available. Also pricing for the Ultra light (UL) and the FS series wheels would be great.

I am coming to the US at the end of the year, and if these wheels are still available I would love to pick up a set for the Sunny!

Does Panasport have an email address? They don't list one on their website....only a phone number :(

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Mark.

Sounds like Valve Stem seals to me.

Compression check can be a bit misguiding too.... Do a leak down test if you can, that will do a better job of finding the problem.

If you do the compression check when the engine (oil) is cold, it can increase the compression in suspect cylinders as the oil helps to seal the rings. This happened to me just recently. When we ran the engine, and got some heat into the thing we did a second compression check....this showed a huge drop in compression in cylinders 2 & 3....which would also explain the amount of blow by I was getting too!

My bet is still on the valve stem seals though....good luck.

John is a good guy, and definately knows his stuff.

Another option, if your interested.....

I can supply you with a kit to convert your current struts to height adjustables. The kit includes; threaded tube (advise diameter of struts), lower spring seats, upper spring seats, and adjusting spanner. This kit is designed for smaller diameter springs - springs are not included, but are also available. Cost is $345 (inc GST) Each kit will do both front struts.

Fitting is also available upon request.

Pic of kit fitted to struts can be seen here:
MPA Motorsports Suspension Page
Note: Adjustable strut tops (pictured) not included.

Cheers,

Mark.

I'm with you L18.......if it was safe to do it..... you wouldn't have to wear a helmet at a track day.

The budget (if you can call it that) for the Sunny race car was $20,000. I will have spent every cent of that by time it hits the track..... in fact we are getting pretty close already.

Luckily for me, I bought the shell with the cage already in, the engine has all the good bits, and the Motec M4 pro already had a number of additional features unlocked. Otherwise, it would have cost even more.
