i have spoken to my friend and have more to offer.
the rolling sedan is complete, stripped almost ready for pianting. it has all the interior and a coupe dash. there is an A15 engine (complete from fan to clutch), headers and twin 40's with manifold. SSS front seats, centre console with rev. only needs time to put back on road. price will depend on how much you take.
this needs to go
post response- i will e-mail u

it pisses me off that these little ####s just think they can take what they want. it is the main reason the SSS stays in the garage and gets driven on country roads.
i am too scared to leave it parked in town.

the nz sss was standard with twin 40 dellortos.
they a proved to be fine with good fuel economy. like all carbs like these they well need to be tuned proprly and then left alone. most problems come with making changers and not retuning.
the sss has a mild cam and factory headers. i don't think that there is alot of difference just what you prefer and can afford.

the engine was tired anyway and one of the rings lets go, presserised the sump and pumped the little amount of oil there was out.
when i stripped it i found some bearing were stuffed. prob my fault i was not the brightist back then. young dumb and too much money. my dad was very un- impressed.
anyway reassembled with ballanced crank (to remove groves) new ring and bearings and then traded for a Mk 3 GT Cortina.( blew that up as well)

i think it was in '84 or '85 i was driving along Glenfield Rd, North Shore (NZ) in my first SSS. I pulled along side an RS2000 (shovel nose). next thing we were off i did not overtake him but he did loose me either. a nice fast short sprint (5km) that was a great way to end a night out. can't remember the speeds but the car was pretty hairy. trouble is it cost me the bottom end

a road test put the SSS's top speed at about 86mph (138kph).

finding an untouched SSS is hard. i have tried to put mine back to the same as they were in the showroom. trouble is that they changed them each time they built one.
the only thing on mine is 13' 120Y SSS wheels and tyres because they are cheaper than 12'. but i still have the standard SSS 12' mags and nuts.
