I can't think that it will be much more expensive than a standard one.You are just changing the thickness.

Why I don't like the copper idea is because as mentioned you can run into sealing problems. Look at bones's reply.
He decked his head and block to make sure it is flat and clean. With your cylinder head already over skimmed, I don't think you can try to do it again.

Why do you want to use a copper one?
My mechanic friend told me you can order a custom thickness one from Payen. He once installed one on a over skimmed BMW engine of 3mm thick. No problems yet.

Ok guys. Newest update.
I have managed to get 3 more of these babys.
Here is a link to how they look if you want to see a pic.

Unfortunately the guy at the wrecker knows that they are difficult to find and I need to ask $95 (Aus) excluding postage for one. We can send by sea which will make it cheaper to send to your side of the world. PM me if interested.

Thanks man. My engine het 'n genuine 150 000km op. Was 'n ou tannie sin toe my pa hom gekoop het. Ek het toe ek student was hom oorgeneem. Ek het wel 'n spaar GX engine blok as my engine sinne dalk kak is.

I don't know what the bakkie head will cost.

The price is only the head complete with the valves and double valve springs, no rockers. My only concern is that I have never come across a head that the cylinder head shop told me the valves and valve springs can be re-used again. Maybe just my bad luck.
