Yes, they will be included. I just thought (I have 2 spare GX heads and they both tested replaceing valves and valve springs) that if the test says they are not usable due to being out of spec, I can remove them for the buyer (if he/she wants) to bring down weight a little and make transport cheaper. But if the buyer wants it with, I will leave it on the head.
On the VW engines (I am registered on a VW club site as well) the VW engines run about 20 to 30C higher on the oil temp compared to the water. This however depend on how the car is driven and how hot it is outside.
Ok, I am posting here as I don't have an Ebay account and have too much trouble creating one.
For Sale: Genuine GX cylinder head. (Stock, no porting or gasflowing) Price: $300 Au This price does not include postage. I will get a price for postage by sea to Aus as the cylinder head is a little heavy for air. For $300 you get the following: GX cylinder head. Full preasure test, crack test and measuring if head is still in serviceable thickness range. If any of these are not correct the sale will unfortunately not go through as I don't want to sell damaged item. Will be done at my local cylinder head shop. I will provide proof of everything.
I have an idea the valves and valve springs will need replacement as I have never come across a cylinder head that these were still usable. Maybe we will be lucky and something might be usable again. If they are not usable, I can on the buyers request, remove them to make the head a little lighter for postage. The cylinder heads are still with the wrecker, so I just want to see before I get them on my cost if there is interest.
You guys must please explain to me more about this re-sizing story. I would have thought you just torque and you are done.
Also, I don't understand how the ARP can increase clamping force in the con rod. On the VW site and I think somewhere on this site I read that the ARP bolts have a lower torque setting than standard rod bolts.
