As some of you might know, I will be doing some work to the A12 when the money is on the table. I just thought of something that might give me a problem.I might be worried about nothing but on a 30+ year old car it is a possibility.
How many of you have had the water pipe on the engine corroded so badly that it needed to be fixed or repaired.
My car has run antifreeze it's entire life that I know of but I am still thinking of the possibility that it can be rusted badly due to age.
Can this pipe be replaced?

The sedan's lights. 7" or 9"
I took the 7" ones. Will see tonight if they fit inside the brackets without problems.

Forgot to mention. My family car is the same car. Only the sedan version. These cars are very economical and cheap to maintain.

I have mentioned the discs and calipers as a upgrade a couple of times here.
Haven't done it but seems easy enough.

There is another guy that I know in my town that did a brake upgrade to his bakkie using this car's discs and Ford Focus calipers. I don't know why Ford calipers but that is what was done.
That thing stops like crazy EVERY time. He raced gocarts in his younger days and knows how to let brakes suffer. These things didn't even turn blue or anything after 3 runs starting at 0km/h going to 200km/h and back again to 0km/h. The runs were directly after each other and braking was done hard.

Only problem is that you won't be able to run anything smaller that 14" rims.

LAGWAGON, can you give us more info on the setup of a A/F ratio meter that you installed in this car? This sounds very interesting and also good if you want to tune a fuel injected car on the go.

Busy selling for $270. Just waiting for GX cylinder heads that is being tested by the wrecker that will be send with them.Postage from ZA to Aus must still be added, so I would say give or take $350 to $400.

I would have to agree. I also have a spare GX head that was overheated and the guy before me overskimmed it. Two chambers are 10.5 and then two other ones are 11,2:1. I wanted to open the two up a bit to bring the cc down, but it won't work because when doing that you are going to fiddle with the flow in the chamber.This I would think would cause loss in power, incomplete combustion and possibilities of pinging for some kind of reason.

A mechanic friend of mine suggested to get a custom thickness head gasket made up at Payen. He uses them quite often on overskimmed BMW cylinder heads. His thickest one to date is 3mm thicker than standard. Maybe find out if a local head gasket manufacturer can do the same for you.
