Oooh yeah its on again !! woody i *hope* to make it, but im doing some historic cruize/drive with the old man and his Jag club the weekend before + im dragging my g/f along to it, so i dunno if ill be able to get out again the weekend afta.... my datsun lives like 40mins from where i live now due to living in f-ing Sydney (everything costs too much esp garage space) so it will be a mission if i DO make it :)

any1 who makes it to this event wont be sorry! woody ; fix the datto and chuck the (fully sic) gemmi eheheh just kidding ! glad to hear u have 2 race cars now!! (jealous AS)

D u r d man. i would love to buy into your radiator deal. i am using a HUGE nissan urvan radiator cuz my worked A15 get a little hot when i give it enough of a squeeze :) (happens regularly) plz sign me up PM Me or SMS me !! (very keen) cheers. p.s. i use the standard 1200 radiator bolt holes so im stock sizing all the way.

edit: just plz make the raidators as THIN as possible so i can stick my cooling fan on the motor side (does a better job there.)

a mechanic friend of mine has acquired a broken 300ZX, red. it has the split sunroof and looks pretty damn cool. i dont know any details more, if i get them ill post here. the motor doesnt work...
the car is located in Sydney, on Eastern Valley Road, Middlecove, across the road from the speed camera. u can go c it.
basically the owner wants ~500$ for it, so if anyone wants this baby, snap it up. sorry no picture, ill try and get one.

if you want to enquire, call Middle Cove Motors in Sydney. You should be able to find them in yellowpages or call directory assistance and ask.

someone out there may want it

perhaps! they are meant to get hot, so maybee something like some glue or other gunk has gotten on it, and its burning..
read the tech articles about changing it to a 12volt system, then u can remove the resistor!
or just clean it up when its cold and see if it still smokes.

im using a 63a (at last) behind my warm a15. its eaten quite a few 56 and 56a gearboxs in little time. ive learnt so much from this website its assome.

Quote:

It is a little bit tight, getting oil in is abit of a pain but garden hose down the bay and squezzing the hose in works everytime. Also the reverse swtich i took off like on my old 60a box because it sticks out to far.

this is exactly how we got the royal purple in the gearbox. squeeze!
the reverse switch, i just drilled a hole in my tunnel and it kinda pokes in a few mm's. its completely covered by the underlay then carpet. probably a firehazard.
bits used:
180b master/slave cylinder, datrats firewall bracket for clutch and brake masters, jeff taylor oversize clutch kit, custom tailshaft stanza to stock 1200 diff, datrats L series gerbox mount, stanza speedo cable (i hope it fits), NOS gearknob.
goes like a dream, cruze at 120k/h @ 2500rpm in 5th gear.
