I put a XE tacho into the 1200 housing, with the 1200 needle and face.
The ford tach is about the same sweep in terms of the calibration as the 1200 tacho and will run of an electric pulse. Was alot of rooting around and didnt use it anyway as was not as acurate as the vdo unit I now have.
Was thinking of shortening the tube by 40-50mm, so any ideas on whats suitable.
Thinging of shortening tube as using camber tops, which drop the top of the shock lower than the standard strut tops and using a SSS spring which lowered the car approx 20mm.
Therefore the standard shock is allready compressed, before its doing anything.
