I looked for ages to find good rubber parts for my ute, and ended up with two options.
1. Nissan australia sells genuine 1200 rubber kits to this day... HOWEVER i was quoted $1674.00 plus shipping... So screw that option.
2. There's a guy called "the rubber shop" in Queenslad who does exact replicas of all the rubber parts on the car ( including those really annoying 3/4 windows) You get every seal and rubber on the car for $590.00 thats waht I ended up getting, And i can say that they are PERFECT fits. You get a $50 discount if you tell him you saw the ad in the "parts peddler" their no. is (07) 33542053
New rubbers should reduce wind noise, rattles etc.. and help make you car look better

A guy at the car audio shop near my house recomended this stuff called sound off, at $50 dollars for 1 litre( he recomended at least 4 litres) Im thinking its a little too much!! I bought a new moulded carpet, and i askked for the underfelt so that one thing ive got. I went to jaycar the other day, and they sell sheets of sound deadener for 10 a roll- each one weighs about 4kg but they seem pretty good... I think that most of the noise was coming from the firewall, but i do remember that at higher speeds allot of noise would come form the diff- mostly because it was'nt geared for 100km/h speeds? I think... Has anyone else experieced this?
Thanks so much for all your comments

Im in the final stages of restoring my Ute, and just bought some carpet to put in the interior... Ihavnt driven my car for about six months but i remember that there was heaps of road noise when i was driving around- especially at any speed over 80km/h. Does any one know how to get rid of this problem? I know it will probably add weight to the car but at this stage i dont care... any advice on the subject would be really appreciated

I totally agree! 10g's wont get you anywhere near as fast as you would hope... But dont be disheartened i've heard of very few people who spend the money all at once! Take your time, one mod at a time and eventually you will see your dreams realized

I've got an electric fan installed in my car, it helps heaps to cool the motor down, especially if your idling for any long periods of time... I bought the fan and thermostat attachments for less than $50 from super cheap auto, and then it was only a matter of finding a good spot to mount it. A friend and i mounted it of the original radiator mounts..

sounds like maybe 15's are the way to go... Ive already lipped all the gaurds when bought new panels so i guess they should fit pretty easy with a low enough profile. The other thing i noticed though- on the front gaurds (before i changed them) part of the panel, closest to the tyre from the front was cut off... On the new panels they go in allot further, I wonder if that will affect things?

I've been restoring my ute for a fair while, and i've just finished the panel works and paint. I really want to get bigger wheels, mostly to complete the look- but how big is too big? The ute is currently sitting on 14inch wheels but I remember that they used to scrub when i turned into a corner- untill i got lower profile tyres. So I figured that was as big as I could go...
But this morning, I drove past a tyre shop and saw a 1200 ute sitting on 17inch wheels as their display/work vehicle! how the hell did they do that?
Do i even need bigger wheels really?

Ive tried the nissan dealer near my place, and they did mention that they can get me some parts, but the problem boils down to the $$$ (bling bling) The guy quoted me $169.00 for one side plus frieght, plus 3-4 weeks. Maybe he doesn't like me? My exp. with nissan hasnt been great, I also asked for a price on a rubber kit for the car and was told a figure close to $2000! But i found that a rubber manufacturer in QLD sold them for $500... So im thinking Nissan is'nt so good?

Ive been restoring my 1200 ute with the help of my panel beater for well over 5 months, and its almost reached completion! The problem is, with all the new body work ( new panels, new interior, new beautiful paint) the parts that are still original look so tired and tacky. Im having allot of trouble sourcing front indicator lenses for the ute- bothe the ones below the grill and the ones on the side of the car. Any help would be really appreciated.
