That sounds great mate, thanks. Any help is appreciated. Ill show the diagram to my panel beater and see what he says

So it's basicaly what i thought, pretty labour intensive- sounds expensive

Nothing worth having is ever easy? damn.

p.s as far as that roo is concerned, it was thrashing around on the road for a while, and there was allot of traffic- eventually the cops were called in and it was dragged off the road and shot. which felt good. kinda

its a bit of a mess realy.. Id say the roo bent the chasis and in the ensuing chaos of the colision, the car span around and hit a gutter side on... Thus the restoration. it is chewing out the front right tyre, but i think that has to do with the bent strut more than the chasis. Suspension guy doesnt want to fix the strut without fixing the chasis first.

This chasis staightening sounds like a very big job... thats what im worried about

he seems to know what he's talking about... I ve already taken it to my panelbeater to have a look at it for me. The annoying thing is, I dont actually have any idea what to look for or how to fix it.

I know how it happened though... DAMN YOU SKIPPY!!

it certainly doesnt look bent... and when i was restoring it, all the panels fit on perfect- so im guessing its something that i cant see but a suspension specialist can..

Ive been told by my suspension guy that my chassis is bent... I have no idea exactly what this means for me, but im thinking that it cant be good. Does anyone know whats involved in a chassis allignment? how much should i expect to pay for this sort of stuff?

How does it actually work?
Any help/information/advice would be really appreciated..

Johno

In my humble opinion, I think youll get more enjoyment and reliability out of your A-series engine than trying to muck around and fit a dedicated fwd engine in your 1200.

Yeah twin turbo does have a certian ring to it And i must say it does LOOK good under the bonnet...

Either way you go its still very very cool. Turbo Datsun is the James Dean of the car world.

if you do end up changing the original brackets, then you can get done for a defect. so try to get seats that bolt straight up
