Gday R-fastmotorsport,

Where are you located, and how much are you after for these parts ?

James.

Just pay the money and buy some genuine Nissan ones. When you snap one in the block, will regret recycling old headbolts...

Reminds me of a Datsun 1600 I once saw that had XD Falcon Tail lights fitted... it was a travesty.

But, each to their own I suppose...

Jempson, How tall are you?

I'm only 6"1', but I like my seat all the way back, in the "fully sick" position :)

I did a trip from Sydney to Dubbo in a 1200 ute (to retrieve a 1000 coupe). With a standard diff and gearbox, you really pull some big revs on the highway in a ute.

Personally, I'm much more comfortable in my wagon.

Thanks for the tip fellas, I'll take a compressor with me to the wreckers.

I would own a 1200 ute, _but_ I've never sat in one where I was comfortable in the drivers seat!! They are no good for tall people :( the seats just don't go far back enough.

old_school,
Can this swap be done with basic hand tools? do you need something to compress the spring with? I'm planning to do this swap shortly myself.

I pulled my current cheviot 12 inch mags off today and measured the backspace at around 95-100mm.

I can get two fingers around the wheels all the way around so i think that the new mags at 110mm backspace will fit.. Not the most scientific method of measurement though..

James:)
