damn man that sounds good. Pitty I already got the 1200. What sort of condition is the 1400? Would you sell it to me cheaper without the head, alternator, manifolds etc??? It sounds good to me but the missus doesnt really like me spending too much on the beast.

Oh and if anyone wants 1200 parts I have a carby, alternator and manifold. Not sure how good they are but were said to be working, any offers considered as its just sitting around!

Hi guys,

Anyone know where i might find an a series, suitable for re build (ie I dont want to spend much, and I dont expect much). Obviously an a15 would rock, but a 14 or 12 would be ok too.

Only need the real basics, just want to build it and swap it for mine, already have manifolds, carby, ignition etc. Dont mind even swapping my head onto it (a12 head) but dont want to pay for pistons or anyting too expensive, just rings, gaskets, bearings, etc.

Thanks guys, oh and I guess I should tell you that im in Adelaide. Look forward to not smoking people out that follow me!

Hey guys, I have put in hundereds of tachos in my time but this one seems strange....

The needle wont sit at the perfect revs, the engine is running smooth but the needle jumps from the idle (approx 800rpm) to about 1200 - 1300. This behaviour continues all the way up the rev range. I changed the coil to a new one, thought that might fix it but no luck. At one stage it did work fine, for about 10 minutes but then it went back to its old tricks. I have made sure it is on 4cyl and even got a replacement sent out, so it must be the datto!!!!!

Dont think it really matters but its a 81 Sunny with a A12.

Thanks guys/ gals

Went to first inspection and got re-defected for: unsealed parcel shelf (speakers recently stolen), unretractable front seatbelts (replaced with unretractable because they dont make proper ones anymore), loose back seat, loose bolt on rear gearbox mount, diff oil leak!!!!!
Back on the road again.....

Im in adelaide, South Australia. I actually got defected for being too low but have to go throght a full inspection ie emmissions, bushes, rust, any cracks, wobbly seats, worn seat belts, low brake fulid, EVERYTHING.

I got done in a random breath test in the riverland, cops have nothing else to do than defect p platers, another 2 cars got defected while I was getting done.
