i run 15x6.5 with 185/45s (the white rims)
if i think of it tomorrow i'll get you the backspace of the rim ... i'm also running coilovers to, so there's alot less issue with spring seat/perch clearance

and welcome to the lovely world of the 12 !!!
did you get a 1200 or a 120y ?

yeah it did a coupl last year but has pretty much missed out this year tdue to me being lazy and not getting the diff sorted for ages !! but its all back together now but will have to come out to have baffles fitted and an alloy housing ..
so till next year - no chance of it seeing the track

compared to other 13's i can't help you ... i paid $110 each at a great mates rate thru a tyre shop next to my office.

sweet nick, i'd be keen for the part number as i havent got any closer to sorting out the rear shocks ..

and as for the semi slicks they will eventually go on, or a new set will ... next year when i can get the datto back onto the track ...
but i still gotta get the handbrake sorted ;) so i'll have to grab the bits off you pigdog to start fiddling around :)

the stickers are off the tyres - both infact -my i luv the lsd !!! ... and i now have to go clean them of the tyre place's driveway tomorrow

well its been a while since i did anything on the datto let alone the forum
so i thought i'd jump ahead to today - i'll fill in the between eventually ;)




new hand polished 13x6" hayashi copies with 175/50/13 sime tyres fitted

this is some pics of the wheels from start to finish :


how they were when i received them


after about 5-6hrs on each wheel - started with 400 grit and ended in 1500grit wet and dry
then cutting compound, followed by polishing compound and the autosol polish


after paint, took about 2hours per rim to tape and paint, untape, retape and paint and clear


the black is a custom mix based on fords saphire but with a red pearl mixed thru it


new tyres fitted finally ...

all up the polishing, painting, wrapping in rubber, balancing and finally getting them on the car has taken 367days !!
oh how things take time !!
