OK thanks for the advice, ideas, stories, and experiences.
I had the alternator serviced, rebushed a few years ago so that is fine, I guess I was just slack and did not check the water level, I thought something may have been short circuiting but that would blow a fuse instead of boil the battery..... so I'm off to buy a new battery - small price to pay to sell the little beastie.
by the way someone asked if I have any spares, I have some extractors and the orginal carby that are not fitted but the new buyer may want them also, depending on what they want to offer...
thanks again!

has anyone ever had their battery boil dry - I though I had a bad batch of fuel but I checked the battery the otehr day and was baren after 2 45min drives - I dont drive it much so thought the ute just needed a good drive to charge the battery. So I've topped up the cells with distilled water but the inside looks cooked so thinking a new battery is the go - damn thing decides to do this when she heard I was selling her!
The radio started cutting out too so I will experiment by removing the radio fuse and see if it happens again. if it fixes it I guess the new owner will need to get a new radio fitted........
thoughts? experiences??

Thanks datto_1000_man!
I just loaded the link I placed into the photo album and seems to show the image from my work pc so hoping you guys can see it - ddgonzal seems to....
OK here's the story:
why am I selling it?
I am after something bigger, that seats at least 4.
If you have something you are inte3rested in swapping, let me know. If you wanna make an offer, let me know - send a message.
I'm thinking of trading it in so would be a shame to see a dealer send a unique vehicle to the wreckers as it doesnt need much to keep it purring!
I'll be tuning it early next week so if you wanna take it for a test drive after that let me know.

32/36 weber
recently fited 1200 gearbox and clutch (nice to gearchange no grinding :))
new discs up front - from datto1000man - stops!
electronic ignition - needs attention at the moment - insulation.
1200 reupholstered seats from gotabaute
tires - still ok nik
balanced and shortened drive shaft (A12 engine required it to be done)
recond diff and new cv joint
sony radio

it was bought with:
sports steering wheel - needs recovering but in decent nik
recent paint job -previous owner was a spray painter
corrolla/corona mags 13in

it needs:
attention to rust in floorpan and tray
new radiator - this one is good for around town though.
a tune - or I'll do it next week
asking price: anything over $3.5k
have also the manuals and some extractors that have not been added yet

I have one you can have it plus the reconditioning kit - It was working when I pulled it off last year but would benefit from a rekit.
