I would suggest using Spacers on the speakers. One can get these spacers ready-made from a car audio store. They are normally made out of plastic, and is not expensive at all. Unless you want to DIY with a few plywood boards.
These spacers will make the back section of the speakers sit very little inside the doors, thus preventing water damage. The spacers will also help in preventing the speaker touching the window winding mechanism.
Having put 6x9 on the door panels will make your UTE sound like a Mobile-Disco itself, thats if you dont mind damaging the door pads.

A few days ago, I got a glimpse of the 8pm news, and to my amazement I saw that there was something about whales and dolphins being washed ashore. Im pretty sure this happened somewhere in Australia. Can someone confirm, and tell me abit more about this strange happening. How and Why, has this happened.

Yep, I've had one of the dents put on my Delux, whilst installing my reconditioned a12 motor, Damn Machs. Anyway, most of these Japenese made cars are a bit weak especially if one leans over the fender areas. What I have now done, is used sheets of matt and resin on the insides of the fenders {just small pieces} for reinforcement , where dents are prone to happen. Wish I had done this before the dent was put on.
Small dents are especially harder to fix than those larger ones at times.

Hi, Guys, Slightly off topic, but, what will happen if the thermostat is taken of, which I have done. Well, the guage does fluctuate at speeds, never going over the middle mark even at speeds of 140-160 kms on the open road. My question is, Will this have an adverse effect on an engines lifespan?

Yo, ApHaSia4504. I'm glad to hear, that youre polishing the L series valve cover and not chroming or painting it. They look great when polished. Go to this website to find out more about polishing and using chromed bolts for the L valve cover. This site is for Z car lovers, but I'm sure you'll find alot of info in regards to the L18, cause the motors are similiar. www.zcar.com

Yep, My 1200 is standard except for an a14 hitachi carb. As for fuel economy, she wasnt that great. I guess I expected a bit too much, but then then again, I realise that its a 4speed, and the motors really rev up at high speeds.
