Yeah i got my avatar uploaded, but when i sign out and restart my comp. and sign in again it dissappears. What am i doing wrong how come my avatar has dissappeared.

How do u uplaod an avatar? I went into my profile n clicked on uplaod avatar...but when i choose a pic from My Documents and upload it, it comes up error. Can someone give me some directions on doing this please. any help would be appriciated.
