where the heater hose connects to on/off tap on side of heater box inside car. Heater cable connects to this to turn heater on/off. Mine is leaking out of the tap where the small chrome pin goes into the control.

I need to know if they make an after market heater tap for a 1200 ute (1980 model), or if u have to buy genuine Nissan Datsun Heater taps. Does anyone have a spare one around penrith area and how much will it take for u to part with it! if u can help that would be great.

I went to nowra for a holiday the other day n our friends we were staying at had to pick up their car at the mechanics nearby. I took a ride and to my amazment their was the best totally original datto ute sitting there. I asked who owned it and the guy that owned the mechanics did. I asked if he had disk brakes and must have made a remark about them being standard. BOY did i get told. "The datsun NEVER came out with disk brakes what r u talking about" IS this true? did datsun 1200 utes actually come out with standard disk brakes and when. I have a 1980 model and mine r drum but ive been told disks came out in 79.
