sounds like a beast of a ute. i have just recently restored a 1200 ute back to standard. not complete standard it has 12inch minilites and is sprayed in a original datsun blue with a little recing steering wheel. Mine is no match for urs. Standard A12 engine (recond.) mines cost 5grand so far including buying it off a guy in bathurst for 1,500. So good luck in getting ti on the road and hope to get in conect with u when u do.

i got a '80 1200 ute. it fires up fine but when given a few revs for a while (about 2mins) it runs out of fuel. i checked out that little glass window under the carby and the fuels there to start with but when revved it gets burnt up and no new fuel enters. I suspect its the fuel pump but im uncertain. I checked out the tech section but to no avail. Can somebody help me!

When i let my clutch out, right down the bottom is really sticky which makes the car skid when taking off. This only happens after about 10mins of driving. DOnt know why, but it just does, ive had other people with experience drive it and still same problem. Maybe my clutch cable is bent or whatever. Has anyone else ever had or having this problem?

Its not a movie, but in Crusty Demons 9 i think, when they show the Dominican Republic part as theyre doing burnouts a few 1200 utes pass by in the background. Check it out!

Drum Brakes on '80 1200 ute

I was driving the other day when my (drum) brakes locked on, i pulled to the side of the road but the brakes were too hot. I let them sit for a while (40mins) and checked them again, somehow they had unstuck themselves. To make a long story short, the master cylinder had a blockage in the return valve, i got it machined and put it back on, i bled the brakes but the pedal will not come all the way up. The brakes only start to grab right down the bottom about an inch from the floor. Does anyone know anything about this. I need help!
