Well done Andrew!!!! Fast and getting faster ..... never going to catch you at this rate! Sounds great and the dog box shifts sweet - the new standard for IPRA Dattos!
Good luck at Winton mate.
Cheers.

I run Redline Super Lightweight (yellow) in my racecar and will not use anything else now. Did use Syntrans in the early days but it ate my first close ratio 260Z box ......
The Redline works well for us - and at about $25 - 30 a litre it won't break the bank for a small volume box like an A series.
Cheers.

Time to clear some space at my workshop so the following A series bits of my brother's have to go .....
Smooth case 4 speed from Sunny
A14 complete and running except for couple of carby linkages and flywheel
H150 Sunny diff housing complete except for brake line
Sunny coupe hoodlining, upper trims and seats
TRX mags x 4 with centre caps and stuffed tyres
Skyline Ti mags x 4 with old Ao32 on one pair and not as old R888 on the other pair
Various Sunny parts not required in the SR20 upgrade - brake booster, original radiator etc, bits and pieces.
PM with your interest and I will get him to respond.
Cheers.

Can be done - my coupe with L20 had 158Hp at wheels on a conservative dyno.
Step 1 - buy my cylinder head from this motor. 78 deg cam, Datrats adjustable gear, big valves, ported and set up by Cave Hill in Melb - even Errol is impressed with it!
Step 2 - BIG bore, flat top pistons (teflon coated skirts etc)light flywheel etc.
Step 3 - buy my old 45 webers from the guy in QLD selling them on Ozdat. They are mached out and set up for the above head!
Step 4 - have plenty of cash!
It can be done but beware outrageous claims - my 150 Hp engine could pass blokes who said they had 175 - it's all about the torque really ....
Cheers.

Shouldn't be a problem. I have just installed C20 vanette axles into a Stanza housing for the Sunny with only a few mm clearance at spline end. I was going to chop 10 or so mm off each axle if need be because only the last 20mm or so was being used. Shorten it up and look at Stanza or ute axles - the right combo might just pop out.
Cheers.

Aim high indeed .....

Yeah my "old yellow beast" could do 1:10, must be easy then !!!!

Those who know actually recognize how difficult it is to reduce lap times AND how the difficulty of the task becomes exponential the faster you get. Time to get that race license and jump in - no toe dipping - get in the deep end and have a go ....
Ask Andrew how much he has improved since he started racing!!
C'mon Benny, no more excuses ....... lets go racing.

Cheers.

"It was such a blast to run up against much much more powerful machines and have a go. Down the straigts i would get monstered back under brakes and corners the little 1200 was as good, and in some cases better than most. I think a higher powered A-series is on the cards. I think the suspension and brakes are up for sub 11's, more power and driver practice, I think it can do it."

Sub 11's eh Benny .........
Better get that race licence and show us the way around - Chris Peterson's 1200 can only manage a 1:12 so your 1:11's will be great to see!

Big shout out to Chooie - 1:09 is damn good - can't wait to race with you at the creek mate. Should be a ball!!!
Cheers
