Thanks mate - your probably right he's got everything! There was a LA Lancer one at a local wrecker @ $145 for booster only , apparently there wasn't a whole car attatched to it for that price so I had to pass! Would rather look at reco'ing my own before I'd pay that kind of $$ for second hand Appreciate the offer - let me know if you find anything.
Cheers

Much nicer to drive without one eye on the temp. gauge It still amazes me how some people upgrade everything else and adapt a "she'll be right" attitude about cooling Money spent on a good cooling system not only saves the engine but also saves your sanity Good to hear that all has ended well!
Cheers

No worries Craig, will PM my address during the week. Good idea to call past on the way through - you will have to literally drive past me to get to Wakefield anyway. I think you have to come to Oran Park on Dec 12 to be part of the Datsun attack on my brother's Gemini .
Cheers

Hey guys,
I fitted b/b discs to my H145. Mainly because I didn't have a better diff at the time - and to see if it could be done! Yes you will sacrifice both the b/b and H145 bearings in the dissembly process. Do not lose the spacer from the H145 wheel bearing if fitted - it gives the correct bearing set back. Other than that, it will bolt up. Use the b/b backing plate bolts as they are longer and re use all the b/b solid lines and flex. You may find a problem with the solid line running under the car to the flex hose joining the diff as they didn't mate correctly on my car. I removed the original fitting on the car and re - flared but perhaps others have tackled it differently?? I am using 13" wheels but it was a nightmare (!!!) even with the right setback wheel. I recommend going straight to 14" or bigger to save frustration Benny could fill you in on the handbrake situation as I don't run one but I don't believe it is too difficult.
I suggest you use a ute diff if you can (or other H165) as it is a bit of work to change to disc rear and then want to upgrade later - try to spend only once . The bloke spinning the yarn about ute diffs seems a bit strange - only working under load ??? A new one to me . Good luck with the project and remember to allow some extra cash for the usual dramas - pads, machining, caliper kits (maybe) and some frosty rewards for the end of project
Cheers
