Kegs,

As others have indicated, your seats are standard. They may have been recovered but they are standard.

I still have the original vinyl on mine and as you said the head rests are adjustable by taking out the screw at the back and sliding it up or down. I don't know about you but I would have to take the seats out of the ute to do that.

I have my owners manual so I will have a look if there are any pictures in there about it. Or even of the seats themselves.

That's the one, I had a bit of movement in mine and when I decided to replace my steering wheel, I thought I should fix that as well.

I feels like the wheel hasn't been bolted on tight enough but it is just a bit of play in the bush, worn over time.

Hi Ade,

It's the one under the top nut that I'm after. I picked it up this morning and it looks like it is the right one but I'll see for sure tomorrow.

If anyone wants the part no, it is:

N*48054H1002 (that's straight off the invoice)

Not a prob, I rang around some more with no luck.

I could have got one made up but it would have been dearer than the genuine one.

I bit the bullet and ordered on from nissan.

Hope you have a bit more luck finding an after market one.

I'm after a bonnet, drivers side guard & tailgate for a 1984 1200 ute including the chrome bits for guard and bonnet?????

Without rust would be good as that is why I have to replace them.

Do you have any of the above?

Hello,

I have to replace the steering bush on my 1200 ute. The one that is just under the steering wheel that holds the shaft central in the column.

I have tried some after market places for one with no luck.

I got up the courage to call nissan for a price and they want $45 for this little piece of rubber/urethane

Does anyone know where else I could try for one? I really need it by Wed to get my ute on the road again so if I can't find one anywhere else I will unfortunately order one through Nissan today

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

I can really only go on my experience with my 260Z when I had it. It had the flat tops as standard which gave me nothing but strife, tuning wise. I then got hold of a set of round tops from a 240 and they were so much more reliable, they were a set & forget.

If you have a choice, go with the round tops.

With regard to the oil that you use in them, go with the thinnest you can get, I used to run the Singer sewing machine oil in mine.
