I had th estupid idea to drop a GSX1100 into an old Suzuki alto I had. All up and getting it legal was going to cost about $8K NZD, a lot for a $100 car.

Some progress, Now have 1 1/2 set of charade pistons but I'm now looking toward the L20A piston due to the flat top. Sticking with the A15 crank due to the fact I want to play now.

I'm very confident of that fact Morgan. My old A15 powered B310 had large plastic bumpers, and every Sunny that has come up in trade me with full chrome has only ever been A12. A few models only had plastic caps and chrome bar.

Nice sedan. Celica XX mags though. Always had a thing for them on B310's. Over here chrome full chrome bumpers only came on the A12 powered B310, A14/A15 full plastic bumpers.

Little progress yet, still finding the parts I need. Removed the head from the A15 to find it was much of alikeness to my A12 head.

A15 right, A12 Left

Intake on both is 36mm and extaust is 28mm.
Will now most likely stick with the A15 head due to the oval ports.

Sorry to disappoint D. It's quite a biggy for me as it's my first engine build. It's a lttle different to upgrading an ECU and winding up the boost.
Something more high tech may come along a little later on Morgan, but for the time being I will have some fun with this build.
Was thinking of using an early v2 Link, on TM they sell for a few hundred. Will just run some 40's in this build for ease of tuning.
Got a A12 'Peanut head' ported too, so I will use this now instead of the A14GX head. Anyone have a spare charcade turbo piston? Need to complete my set.
Now was it bore the block out 1mm or oversized rings when inserting the charade pistons?

Not sure if the GA16 is easier then the E16 for fitting. I like your ideas but they are a little extreme for me at this point. The aim is to get 120 flywheel hp NA that is useable in a street car, and then if I see fit wild cam, re tuned ECU for a rally hack

In the quest for greater power I have decided to build up a high spec A15. Plan is to use my A15 block with A14GX head, Charcade turbo pistons, GA16 crank and motorbike fuel injection, semi racing cam D1 coby type extractors and skimmed head. Any thoughts on this monster project would be great.
