street machine of the year, back in.. umm.... 1988?????
Holden HJ (or similar) ute with 2 v8's
one up front, and one in the tray..
front one was a mild one, one in the back was supercharged. and it was rego'd.
I think in this case they both powered the back wheels. (a 4wd transfer case in reverse???)
would be an interesting project tho!!!

yeah, and te fir tree is still sitting in it

if thats a bush banger, you'd want some sort of roll bar with no roof. not hard to roll a car doing donuts in a sandy paddok.
It looks like it could still be salvaged in this condition as a soft top (with a fair bit of work)other than the rough edges of the chop, the rest looks reasonable

im nearly certain that the bonnet on that thing has been lengthened

I has been, you can see where the fenders have been lengthend. I don't reckon it looks too bad. looks like all the hard work has been done to it. could make one sweet beast out of that. loving the size of that tunnel...

thats autokrats car painted with spray cans. It is possible, and can look ok... [edit] he bet me to it...
You would be looking at around 15 to 20 spray cans (just a guess) at around $7.50 which would cost you about $130 to do a decent job. that is no primer, just the colour. If your not going for a red (or any other expensive colour) you should be able to spend about the same amount on paint to be applied with a proper spray gun.
You should be able to hire the gear for a weekend (apparently not all that much), if you can't borrow it, and with a bit of practice you can probably do a decent job, if you have that sort of skill. Its not that hard. get a nice matt sort of colour...don't go gloss...
my 20c anyway.

have a chat to astro boy. He bought his from some place in bayswater, Perth (WA).
cost him $100 or something for the carpet, which included a few extra bits for the kick panels back of the cab etc.

here's his interior link

Its my understanding that cars around the age of some of our beloved dattos weren't built the same way as cars are today, and so panels had anywhere up to 10 mm difference in them car to car, possibly more. this is especially true for panels such as fenders. so that perfect fender you found somewhere isn't always going to fit, even though it could have been on the next car off the production line.
