Darren, 17, in Perth WA (my 18th in a month and a half)
Uni student at curtin.
currently rebuilding a '74 1200 ute, with a L20b motor. hope to have it finished within the next 4 weeks.... I SAID HOPE!!!!
always loved my dattos as paddok bashers, coz they never say die. the ute is my first rego'd car. (I've had a mini, a skyline, a galant, 120ycoupe, 1200 wagon, and suzuki LJ50v as unreg'd bangers, and we only have an acre in the middle of town)
Love dirtbikes, and own a 99 YZ400f, which doesn't get used often enough.
just out of interest... we don't seem to have many chicks on this forum do we??? I only know of 1.

Otherwise try zapping the bolt with some oxy/acetylene torch, being careful not to melt the Alloy bit

don't you heat the area around the bolt??? the idea being that this expands and the bolt doesn't, so you can just unwind it. I've done this often enough.

two bottom ball joints for my ute. It was self steering on bad roads... rather scary. After that it handled like a go-kart, just like it should!

that thing looks so straight... It would be sad too see it go. If it was within a reachable distance from my place I'd come pick it up. but i think its a little too far...
why not push it out on your front lawn with a big free sign??? It works over here!

Open in new window

I think this is the only one you need. the rest should hook straight up to the original harness.

highest rpm?
hmmm... foot too the floor, no mods. paddock basher, not even the speedo worked, and it didn't have a tacho, so i wouldn't have a clue what rpm that was. went for ages but (this was playing car soccer. awesome fun). you'd be hard pressed to find a tougher motor than the a12...

datsun = never say die

with the air cleaner/carb hanging out the bonnet, a police man would defect it instantly

what are you going to do about it???
cover it with a scoop? or just hope for the best, and only drive it on special occasions? or try get it passed?
