apparenlty you can get them as a rust repair strip from rare spares, I like the whole gutterless look though but if I do decide to keep them it's an easier option that cutting the other one off, i think I'd make a hell mess.

OK, here's the story.

The better of my 1200 shells has a rusted out rain gutter on the passanger side A pillar area. I drilled the spot welds out & the metal underneath is quite good. Now this panel is about the only good one on my parts car, so I could painstakingly remove it & weld it on.

However, I was thinking after looking at Steve Leerentveld's Torry in Street Machine that I could remove the gutters completely just as he did, I like the smooth look. Is this going to be an issue with a street driven car - ie: will I get wet/is it legal?

I don't think I can add anything. my $500 20sec 120y's were just as fun to drive as my $30k+(car & mods) 12 sec VR4, notice the price difference?

I can't wait to beat my VR4's time at the strip, how scary will it be in the datto? The VR4 got boring as it was just money to make it faster, driving it was too easy.

BlownB310: I noticed you said E15ET, maybe pro-240c is refering to the NA heads, maybe they are a differenc casting? I wouldn't have thought to though.

I like it, go the thinking outside the square!

Was the engine built internally?

Sorry for the hijack

how far can you overbore the early A12 block though? If I can use the pre-emmisons block I have it makes everything so easy & street legal. I might just order the biggest overbore rebuild kit I can & chuck the A14 crank/rods in. Do the bearings/everything else just fit up?

The A14 crank conversion will work on either early or late A12's. In fact, the only running engine that i know of was first built here, & it uses an early A12 engine block. [see the photo album "At my local service station, Apprentices coupe engine"] Just use the block that suits your chassis to save conversion work.

OK, so it has to be a 120y block, are there pre-emmisions ones? How do the RWC guys know the engine build date anyway?

It will be a supercharged engine so I wanted to drop compression/add strength. I had heard E15 pistons are interchangable with A15 ones, which are the same bore as A14 ones. So Hypereutectic E15 pistons would be my choice, wouldn't they?
