Actually, the 2l blower "should" give me cooler boost at the same boost level & hence more power. I figure 1400cc per rev should give 15psi at 1:1, so I'll probably underdrive it about 50% to start with. you are right though, for $150 who cares, and your's is easier to fit. I'll just have to push harder to fit it in the engine bay.

Engine oil cooler.

I've got an alloy radiator out of some sort of Toyota that I'm planning to retrofit into the 1200, it has a small transcooler built into it. Would there be any beneift of plumbing it up to the engine oil to help it warm up/cool it? I'm going to have a manual trans to using it for an auto isn't going to happen.

I went the whole hog & got a SC14 from Rolin Imports. :) I figured a 2.0l blower is better than a 660cc one.

Also relating to using E15 pistons, how much of a hiding can our conrods take? Do the E15 rods fit too or are there any other stronger rods? Is it a non-issue anyway?

As above, LRP is all but gone locally, is it a worry with the A series or is PULP fine?

Anyone use those lucas bottles or similar?

How dear is hardened valve seats?

Screw in - needed to be for my old VR4.

I didn't do the oil thing yet, I was 1/2 thinking of rebuilding it anyway. I'll check the valve adjustment too.

I got 175psi across the board except for cly#4 which has 150psi, this is on an A14. What's the service limit on this? The difference is a worry, should I rebuild it or just suck it & see. Planning to supercharge it & at least rebuild/port the head and add a cam anyway.
