hey, bit OT - I have a litre & 1/2 of Castrol Syntrans (not the more common Syntrax) left over from my VR4 (unused, brand new)- is it ok for the A series gearboxes?

Maybe you should try and combine the carburettors onto a plenum. This way the flow is decreased through the carb but it will still 'draw' 100% of the time

took the words right out of my mouth, er.. keyboard.

I was contemplating doing this today as I found a 2nd carb in the boot of my parts car & stupid fabriaction is a hobby of mine.

Logic got the better of me though & I'll just make the adaptor plate for the 350 holley & run that till the blower goes on to blow thru it.

the bit of hose in that pic doesn't look like radiator hose to me - it looks like the black braided stuff Mistubishi used on VR4 Galants & such - which can handle boost fine

With a big cam & quad TBs the vacuum signal is unstable as, causing the ECU to fuel all over the place - most Quad setups work on TPS mapping which is, as stated above, not that crash hot in certian circumstances

In theory there may be a point where going wider looses grip/traction - but you'll have been scrubing the guards then getting flares etc way before that point

From my current 1200 there was just the usual small change (ohh, 1 & 2c pieces). In the glove box was the original service booklet, Ferris radio manual & Gude to Datsun dealers - Oct '73

My first 120Y had a film canister in the air vents that reeked of weed

My parts car had a coupe factory tacho dash in the back seat & some sort of alloy radiator out of a late model corolla or something in the boot

I'd imagine he asked here rather than a suzuki site because suzuki owners are by & large ricers with little or no technical knowledge. Is a bit weird tho, unless his other car is a Datto

The original post says its a blow through for a Suzuki G13

Crap! I'm retarded.

OK, original Q.

The 35-75psi regs you're seeing are for fuel injection. You can get a Malpassi Turbo Carb regulator that works with an EFI fuel pump & return line to supply more than enough fuel in a carb'd situation. Here's a diagram -->Click this

You need a return line is all, they can work with a carb pump IF it can hold enough pressure to cover boost AND the original static pressure

So proper arrangement is fuel pump, reg, carby - with a return line taking fuel back to the tank AND the boost reference plumbed into the carb box or turbo outlet or something pressureised without fuel.

Yes, the OE reg is redundant

Mechanical secondaries are gunna be the go with being force fed

BOV can be mounted anywhere on the pressurised side before the throttle butterflies - the box or the piping in other words. Theres a heap of conflicting theories about pre or post cooler BOV mounting, I prefer nearer the throttle buit that's me.

For a boost source, from a runner will do fine, remember the regulator needs a boost source BEFORE the throttle whereas the BOV needs one AFTER so they can't share. Your brake booster will need a 1 way valve in it BTW or you may find yourself without brakes!

Does this help?

I assume you want to turbocharge a carbed motor, not just the carb

Blow thru or suck thru? What engine? What compression? What other mods?
