Gearbox speedo drive oil leak

I have a t50 5speed and cant get the speedo drive to stop leaking. Its only just started happening recently. Replaced the o-ring and the cable itself to no avail.

Is there something im missing in the sealing department? The single o-ring doesn't seem like an effective seal for the cable.

My next theory is if the box has a breather? Im assuming so and its blocked because the oil leak only appears after a few days since topping up the box. Thinking its possibly building pressure and exiting via the weakest link.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Cheers

As in the title chasing a good condition centre. Any ratio really apart from 4.8. And in Queensland.

Cheers

Bigger or tripple cored radiator is the only solution. The higher revs generate more heat and the increased airflow is too fast for efficiency. All the 1200s ive had standard or modified run hot on the highway with standard radiators.

Use the part number in the picture above. They are the correct ones.

Best upgrade the cortina mounts. Stock mounts are puny. Used to go through them as reguarly as underpants. 2years on the cortina mounts show no signs of failing what so ever.

Ive never seen a 120y without a disc brake front or seen one with a column shift. One of the wreckers here has about 15lined up all different years and assemblies. The early ones dont have brake booster and the later ones do.

Detroit locker is different to a"locker"/welded diff. Detroits unlock in normal turning situations etc.

From the things you say you want to repair and build, buy a Tig invertor (arc and tig in one) 0 amps through to like 160amps. The neatest and most penetrating welds of the lot. If you get stuck needing fill a big hole simply use the arc. No more burning holes with the amp range. Also doesn't heat soak and warp panels as bad as a mig. Also if the join is that tight simply fuse it together without the need for filler. If you have steady hands you'll have professional looking welds in no time.

I use one most days(fitter and turner) and i highly recommend. I only pull out the mig now for large structual type jobs.
