Sounds like it was a good meet, sorry I couldn't get there, had a couple of unexpected problems.
I'll be looking to take it out in the next few weeks, so if you fix your fuel problems let me know.

Unfortunately I can't make it guys, the car is not ready. I had some problems with the way the slicks fitted onto the car and rather than risk wrecking the guards or a new set of slicks I've decided to fix the problems and make sure everything is 100% before racing it.
Hopefully this won't be too long!

My apologies!

mine is white, but if i had the choice of respraying it i would probably go for silver perhaps or a gunmetal grey sort of colour...

the engine bay is too hard to keep clean with white!

sounds like it should be good!
I think racing starts from around 11-ish
It takes around 90mins to get there from the northern subs of melbourne.

It costs $40 to race and $15 to spectate

haha, i am from the northern suburbs near epping, the car is registered, but i am 99% sure that i will be trailering it there, i am hoping to have it tuned on some sort of race fuel as well so that will rule it out for being driven there.
feel free to email or pm me about it, cos the thread is getting a little off topic, sorry about that :)

I will be going to Heathcote on May the 2nd, hopefully the weather will be ok :)

If you haven't raced before I'd recommend going to heathcote as it is more laidback, and you will also get a heap more runs for your money compared to calder

there are three 1200s in australia that have run 8's

You forgot the blue 13BT 1200 coupe that went 8.15 recently at the Sydney Jamboree :)
All of those cars have had major chassis mods though...

300kw should get you into the 10-second zone easy with slicks and decent rear end setup.
I am hoping to race mine in two weeks time at Heathcote with somewhere around 230-245kw at the wheels, and am expecting low elevens *fingers crossed*
