at the request of 1200RC, and its a great idea...

I will be attending the calder park Drags on april 1st, and have a bunch of mates bringing various dats too, CA18DET and SR20DET datsun 1600's, an FJ20DET Bluebird 1200RC's a15ett debut and a possible bunch of other retro fit conversions plus some nissan imports. but i want to see some more 1200's 1000'sor anything of nissan datsun variety. or anything really... just bring dem cars!!! or come to watch. i'm having a few little battles with the above mates, should be fun!

hope to see you there lads

thanks ange, i'm trying to get all the datsuns i know down to calder.

i work it out as about 240kw at the flywheel, using a 30% drivetrain loss theory.

the new LS2 R8 has 298kw at the flywheel and i reckon it'd weigh in at about 1600kg giving it about five and a bit kilograms per kw. the wags has about 3.75 kilo's per kw, so it sure is a bit of fun!

hoping for a low twelve out of her... we'll see

they're different. rb20det have a green sticker, rb25det i believe is purple. i would think that the rb25 reads at a higher resoltution as it provides air for an extra 500cc of motor. whats it for?

the wagon of Lag went on the dyno today for the first stage of tuning. It runs the standard nissan ECU, remapped for 444cc GTR injectors and a Z32 AFM. i only had time for a couple of hours of dyno time, and managed to squeeze 168kwatw at 12 psi. after playing around we got the same figure, with a bit less timing and more fuel, just for safety as i don't want to be breaking down in goulbourne!

to be honest i was a bit dissapointed, but hopefully there is enough tuning scope and boost pressure available to get me well past the 180 mark. i'm taking it to the drags at calder on april first, it'll have another tune before then. it'll definately have more psi by then!

just thought i'd throw another update in...

got my injectors cleaned and am putting them in today, then off to XTC in coburg for the tune. he says expect about 175rwkw, which should be fun. i had to make up a new intake pipe for the 80mm air flow meter. i also thouht i'd squeeze some more boost into her before it goes and the difference between six and eleven pounds is quite big.

my brake booster has a vacuum leak in it causing the motor to run a bit rough when i'm at the lights on the brakes, that coupled with my less than sorted front end handling will make for some very sloppy racing at Datnats on Sunday. but i'll be there

well, it fits in there. you (or supadat) just need to work out how you want to keep it there. you can hold it in there with whatever method you like!

i just cut the plastic locator sticks off the bottom, then just make up a bracket to go over the top locator lugs and bolt it to the top of the rad support. what has you confused???
