Hi gg thanks for replying. I came across a 4.1 which I had forgotten was promised to me, thanks to supafatto. Im gonna give it a go first cause its free to me.
I havent tried but i reckon you have no chance. Just pulled an auto to put a manual in. The auto tunnel is sooooo much bigger and for a good reason. Column shift would be easy enough to adapt from some other model I would think. Lots of little bracket fabrication type stuff to get some cables running from column to box but not a total nightmare.
people spend in excess of $10,000 building frankenengine's to suit certain classes of motorsport
there is absolutely no point building that (and then trying to tune it) unless you have strict regulations and you really really really want those $20 trophies they hand out
i would say for the all the effort involved it's not worth it
you can buy the same series 1.8 turbo motor from a mazda familia for $1200, the non-turbo motors are probably worth less than an A15 and wouldn't make much more power
