I have a Datsun Competition limited slip for an H145 rear end. [I use the H190 rear end in my Datsun 1200, so this piece should go to a new owner.] Very little use.

$1000 USD plus shipping from USA.

I will try to get pictures up.
Thank you, Peter

For sale: I have a set of (5) A14 forged dome pistons, 77mm is +1mm overbore. The dome is 0.300" high. The dome is not undercut, so they can be machined flat top. I will include this for no charge if you tell me you want flat top.

(3) are good used and (2) are new, never used but cut for valve reliefs and modified for 2-ring design.

These are 2-ring design pistons that started life as 3 ring Wiseco race pistons. [Ignore the top ring, except that the top ring is welded shut for 20mm near the intake valve relief.] See picture. This modification was used competitively. [I did not think it up.]

$300 USD plus shipping.

Note: I have two sets of 77mm Wiseco race pistons for sale, a total of (9) pistons. If someone wants both sets of pistons I would ship for free (a good bargain for international buyers) and I would include several sets of piston rings and pin clips.

I am now racing 75mm Wiseco pistons in my A13.

I have a set of A14 forged dome pistons I took out of a running A14 race engine. $300 USD for the set of 4 good pistons. These are Wiseco forged 2-ring design. The dome is not full height as new (0.300"), closer to 0.200" above the deck. These pistons have very large valve reliefs. They can be made made into flat top pistons too. The underside of the dome is not relieved.

These can be used in an A12 with con rods with the 19mm small end.

Note: I have two sets of 77mm Wiseco race pistons for sale here, a total of (9) pistons. If someone wants both sets of pistons I would ship for free (a good bargain for international buyers) and I would include several sets of piston rings and pin clips.

I am now racing 75mm Wiseco pistons in my A13.

You will have no problem using the early GX head on the later A15 block. The oil will come up the center spark plug side head bolt over to the rocker tower.

Use the A15 head bolts with the "13" on them and remember that the middle spark plug side bolt is longer than all of the others. Use the FelPro 21199PT-1 head gasket.

New 4340 A14/A15 H-beam con rods

Hello Datsun racers,
I have been using Carillo H-beam con rods for decades, and occasionally Crower H-beam and I-beam rods. These have been the gold standard in the USA for racing for 30+ years.

I am now looking at Molnar rods and their 4340 heat treated "X" series rods. They are an H-beam design, but stronger and significantly lighter than the Carillo or Crower. Carrillo 133mm (stock A14/15 length) rods were around 410-420 grams and we could make sets down to 380 grams, but that took a lot of work. Crowers were in the 470-480 gram range.

The Molnar rods should come from the factory at the weight of a highly modified-by-the-customer Carillo rod. Price for a set of Molnar rods would be $1000/ set of 4 including ARP2000 bolts.

If I make a run of (40) rods, would anyone be interested in a set? I am looking at both 133mm (stock A14/15 rod length) and 136mm rods. [136mm rod length is what I commonly use in A14 race engines with shorter pistons and in the 77mm stroke A13 that I run.]

Thanks, Peter

(Sorry I don't post much.)

Thank you!

We are getting closer to our goal of 180hp out of a 1300cc. This is our first attempt with an asymmetric camshaft and I like the results, but it does not jet anywhere near any of my other engines. [I do know we really need to do EFI to stop all of the Dellorto/Weber tuning, but for this year I will have to compete with carburetors.] Our best tuning so far is with 7772.5 and 7772.6 emulsion tubes.

Hi,

I am looking for a chart that shows the different characteristics of Dellorto DHLA emulsion tubes. Anyone know of a chart or a description of the DHLA Emulsion Tubes?

Thanks, Peter
