for me it was never about the power or power to weight...

i just loved the look of the little 1200 utes, then of course you want a nice engine to go with a car that you like looking at, so the next logical thing to do is throw a CA into the engine bay..

I've seen some nice 1200's with standard or 1500 engines in them, and they are nice.. but how much better is it when you hear the turbo spooling on an engine and then you turn around and see this little ute flying by... :)

But thats just my opinion...

Depends What the budget is really...

Kill switches are ok but depending how good the thief is it will only slow them down, but in most cases will do the trick.

You can start with putting in a remote controlled door popper kit and de-assemble the door handles & locks, that way if they try and open it the handle does nothing.

But if someone really wanted to get in they could just break the glass.

If some re-wiring is an option you could install a cut off switch which basically means you need another key (specially made key) to give power to the fuel system, starter motor...ect once that key is in and turned then you can use the normal key to start the car...

i actually played around with a pedal locking system. i made a bar/plate that is driven by a small hydraulic ram that sits under the dash and when you arm the cars alarm system a bar moves down into position over all 3 pedals covering them and making it almost impossible to drive, once the car is disarmed the arm does not move until you enter a code on a keypad. Got a bit expensive very involved and very fiddly....

hope this info helps

i have looked around but there arn't alot out there...

Body condition is ok but not great like i said alot of scuffs and scratches, although its never been in an accident im told. mechanically perfect..

P.S. forgot to mention, added a fuel cell for pops about 2 years ago and it now only needs regular fuel instead of leaded fuel, he has only been using premium since the change and it works great.

Hi all,

i currently own a 1979 Holden Torana S UC.

Its a 2.9 liter 6 cylinder, 3 speed column shift, 4 door sedan.

Mechanically it is perfect, start first time every time, body needs a bit of work due to scratches and scuffs. Car has only done around 160000km.

My grandad bought it a year old as an ex government car, ( he tells me ), and due to no longer being able to drive he has given the car to me to try and sell...

Any idea what its worth????

I could be wrong but it seems as though you have had to chop some of the front out to get the new cooler in??

I don't know about other states but in NSW chopping does not go down well with engineers, even when its done neatly.... Whats the go in VIC??

Good luck anyway.
