hi all!!
i am about half way through my ca18det into 1200 ute conversion. i have used the crossmember for the engine and box from maddat. i also bought a hydraulic clutch kit and brake cable from them. so far so good..

i havnt fitted the gearbox just yet but am ready to do so. i went with the skyline 5 speed stumpy as i was told that there is no mods needed at all to fit it into the original tunnel and the shifter also lines up with the hole. i beleive this bearbox would have to be the way to go. although you will be paying for a second box, you can sell the ca box and you will be saving time and money in the tunnel work.

i agree, thanks for the info. in addition to that i also have heard the the wastegate can foul the crossmember (depending if it is a kit or custom made). just another thing to think about. cheers

dose anybody know or has put a top mount manifold wit a t3 turbo in a datto 1200 ute??? i am considering buying one for my CA but am not sure if it will fit ok????

i have fitted a CA into my 1200 but am using an R30 skyline box. is the standard ECU still good or do i need an after market ECU given that the gearbox has been swapped????

datsun 1200 ute for sale, needs alot of work, ideal for project. i paid $800 for it and am only askin for what i paid for it. comes with 1200 motor and box, not sure if it runs but was told it dose or did, all panels, if anbody wants pics leave me an email and il send some. thanks.

the ute has rust and also some unfinished damage at the front all which can be fixed by a pannel beater. i have also had a quote from 2 pannel beaters. my number is 0417495995 if you have any questions u can call.
