the 1200 ute MYDRUG has an sr20det engineered in it in nsw and that wasn't done that long ago. So there is ways around it, HOWEVER as previously mentioned in this thread, the RTA reserve the right to revoke any engineers certificate if they feel it's appropriate.

Alot of engineers do get investigated if they start passing dodgy ####, have had mates with issue before.

I've heard the way pac cars do their stuff is put a 13b in, grind of the 13b tags on the side of the housings and mold the 10a ones on, restamp an engine number and off you go.

Physically unless you've seen a 10a and 13b beside each other I doubt you'd know.

I reckon your best bet is going to be greece. After travelling around europe by far the most datsun I saw were in greece (including at least 3 datsun 1200 utes).

You could buy one and bring it back on one of the ferries to italy then drive on round to espanol?

I think I even still have some pics of them at home somewhere.

FS: NSW CA18ET manual box - Cheap!

Guys, I have a CA18ET manual 5 speed box from behind a single cam ca18et (found in the nissan silvia (S12) in japan and the 200sx in the usa.

It is a C style box so the gears and shifter mechanism are enclosed like the DET and sr20 boxes.

It will bolt up to a CA18DET. I've also been told it's slightly shorter than the DET box, so it suits a datsun owner (1200, 1600 etc).

It was in my mates datsun 1600 that was stripped for parts cause someone hit the rear quarter and all the fibreglass fell out...

I don't have a shifter, but any DET one will fit.

Selling cheap as my parents are moving and I don't have time to do a bellhousing swap for my fj20et.

Price is $200 firm which is priced to sell.

Condition - was perfect when removed.

Located in Sydney (north shore)

Pictures - Doesn't have any oil leaks, looks almost identical to a DET box.

Contact me via email -> dunniss@hotmail.com

cheers

Martin
