i was browsin ebay and came across an rb20 redtop like in my zed, this is one of the questions asked by a potential buyer:

Q: Do You recon this motor will fit in a 1987 pulsar q im modin up?

A: This motor is a straight six! Would be to big for the engine bay. Pulsars use a four cylinder!Could also have way to much power to weight!!

wtf is this guy on!!!!!!!!

mine has one of the covers your talkin about, the pic is in my photo album, so you can have a geez at it there.
not real good for keepin water out tho, well probly not as good as a hooked one.
i wouldnt mind a fiberglass one instead of the clip on one

sidedraught is right,very practical, i moved house usin nothin but my ute, it may have taken a week or so but still managed to get it in. although they do look quite funny loaded to the hilt wit fridges and matresses:)
and the legroom should only bother you if your a half gangly bugger
