Pistons where custom made forged units. Jeff at JTS did all the head work. Cut down L series valves cant remeber what exact size they where I kinda been out of A series stuff
for around 2 years now. Hard to remeber all the specs.

It used to be in a A14 block but it had thin walls and cracked in one cylinder after a while the A15 block cam around at the right price so it was bored to 120thou and all my good gear
bolted in. I have found the A14 to be a better engine as i have had a A15 40 though over same head cam ect the A14 just seamed to go better for some reason maybe it was because the bore
is the same size as the stroke dont know. I do know that it goes very well I miss the old A series it was a great klittle engien and very competitive upto 2000cc 2e(club car class that I
run it in. She still holds a record at tamworth from over 3years ago :)
I miss webbers but love the CA18det power.

10mm wider from memory they are alkso a bit beefier espeacailly the drag links.

I have some pics of an injected supercharged A15 of a mates car from queensland he has since sold the blower setup and is building a twin charge setup (blower & turbo) for a
CA18 going into a coupe now that should be sweet.

Hi Chris I had a great time at summernats entered all except burnouts as its too far from home to blow it up. HP hero's was good but a little dissapointing at least I know its tuned well
as mixtures where really good I was aiming for 250hp at wheels but still should be happy with 213hp with 12.8psi was very warm too I should have done what some of the guys where doing
with the ice ect.I have made new turbo collectors for the car it goes a lot better especially with more boost it will happly run 25psi now so i can wait to jam that into it down at the
creek for some really fast times. I will email the pics to you I have not updated my web page for a while as I have been very busy with lots of things going on.

I would not recomend converting a NA Ca18 to turbo sure it can be done but only a low boost around 150kw would be recomended. ALso at a resonable cost. The pistons for starters are dome
top over 9:1 the turbo ones are flat top for lower compresion 8.5:1. Also the block is different for oil cooling an water coiling of turbo. Also oil sqirters for bottom of piston to
keep them cool. It would be cheper to buy complete turbo engine from wreckers than to modify a non turbo and get it reliable.

My datto run 12.8@106 with stock engine-turbo running 15psi :) on street tyres. My datto will be in next months zoom magazine :) Both Kev and myself had the photoshoot the same day
in qld.One main difference is he runs a cat converter and unleaded fuel :( I run super with no cat hp for mine with this was 130kw at wheels. Kev is old though maybe he didnt drive
it hard enough LOL
