Im am rather pissed off at moment after spending hrs on dyno and only having problems they give me a huge bill and tell me it cant run any higher than 12psi without misfiring :( so im down
25hp at rears 200hp!!! anyway they suggest many expensive fixes :( I come home and get on net chat to some mates and am told to just close the plug gap a bit after doing this this arvo Im
still pissed so i crank the boost upto 20psi :) holly shit its hammers about time its going they way it should. Ill be ringing them tomorrow and hitting them up for a free dyno run as they
didnt do the job properly last time. So all in all has been an expensive learning curve Im gald I didnt say yeah just fix it and fork out heaps more money the fix only cost me $12 plus
around 20 mins to pull out set gap at 0.7mm instead of 1.0 and put em in.
Cheers Andrew

Hey dave had lots of problems :( fitted new rising rate fuel presure reg and it went haywire :( tuned it then it would change presure ect making it lean the rich. I have new one to
fit tomorrow its going back down for a few days still made 240hp @14psi at rears with more to come (HP and boost ) Im still happy with power just not giving it heaps until its all
fully sorted I will be picking it up next wed and going out to the street drags that night at eastern creek to hopefully cut some quick times.

Hey Simon Im pretty sure with PRC carbies are open for type and size I know that Jeff the guy who built my old A14 has built some very serious A12 rally engines it has to be a A12 block but
engine mods are open so with a lot of machining ect it possible to get over 1400cc out of one with a A14 crank A10 rods custom pistons ect. 150hp is around the money for one of these
engines they arent exactly cheep but would make for a very quick 1200 rally car. Im sure he could get a A12 going pretty hard as with ported GX head a good cam and even the twin GX su type
carbs would have around 100hp at 8000rpm.Whant any more specific answers give me a yell.

Hey Dave checked out your engine mounts ect :) very simmaler position to the Ca18det conversion I have done only real diference is that the CA18 sump is a bit higher so I got to sit engine
a bit lower in engine bay therefor not having to cut the gearbox tunnel.
Did you know the CA18 even though it has cast block is 15kg lighter than the Sr20??
My car will be dynoed next week have done quite bit of work with a 400hp roller bearing turbo lots of other smal bits and peices Im expecting around 350-360@18psi. had to upgrade the fuel
system some more to cope with the higher demand a rising rate fuel pressure regulator as well as a 110gph pre pump new 3/8 steel line with separate return for both fuel rail and surge
tank. Cant wait to hit the track it pulls that hard I would be dissapointed if it could crack mid 11's at the 1/4 mile drags (if its gets traction)
