The 1200 coupe is 730kg according to the RTA the sedan is 740kg and the ute is 680kg so you can legally put a 1825cc turbo in a coupe or 2190cc NA
The Ca18 is 1809cc so I just snuck in. :)
BTW I pulled engine down today for a freshen of bottom end before Qld the bore and pistons are still in great condition one disturbing find was that the copper head gasket had
started to bend out the side!!! Im getting the block O ringed to stod this also opening up combustion chamber to lower comp ratio a bit.

Well if the Sr20 was fully legal in the 1200 I would have fitted one of them :) but now ive done some mods to the CA18 im more than happy the SR are all alloy but weigh very simaller to the
Ca18 anyway.One thing is the Sr engine are a bit more expensive to do mods too the head is a pain in the arse to set up as the cam followers have to be shimed ect. I priced a NA SR20 to put
in my coupe that woukld have been legal but $8000 for around 220hp was a bit $$$$ that was puter and all.Ca has cost me lsss with more power and drivability I suppose its upto persoanl choice
If a Had a datto 1600 the Sr would be my choice of engine.

Max Overbore that you can safley go is 120 thou or 3mm. My A14 is bored this much giving a capacity of 1530cc a A15 with 3mm overbore is 1608cc I dont know of any
bigger capacity engine being built anything is possible with lots of money.

Well for less work and money fit a A14-A15 no other mods needed and can get same sort of power with
less weight :)

Stay right away from nos I have seen many a good engine die from this stuff !!! takes a lot of sorting plus would be quite expensive to set up with twin delortoes as you would
need 4 nozzles one for each port plus a good steady fuel supply as all the blow ups I have seen are from leaning out. An extra 50 hp from nos dont think the cost would be worth
it.

Teratonga your right there the only other mod I would do to this engine would be fuel inject it cost around $3000 for the setup quad 45mm throtle bodies injectors. computer ect for around
10-15 extra hp I dont think thats worth it. To build an engine to same spec would cost at least $6k Aus.
Davo if you really want motor you had better save harder :) hehe. I dont have all the spec it was done in several different stages with different cams tried ect ect,. The main thing is
the Angine hammers all day everyday.

No Im pretty sure the stumpy Skyline box is from behind the twin cam straight six with turbo, not the GTR RB26 engine Im pretty sure its the RB20 or RB25.I am going to get this one
reapaired and keep for a spare once I fit the new one I hope to have it all back together before jamboree In qld. Im thinking of giving engine a freshen up while its all appart

I can tell yuo only 2.5" can just fit under rear of coupe i tried 3" but it hits ecery where even with mandrel bends The first part of my exhust is 3" with single resonator and
3" s type muffler(semi straight through)
