Hi guys this is the story behind my ute this was my fisrt car at the age of 17 now im 29 so iv had it for awhile now lol...
The car use to have a stock a12 with 4speed and was aqure blue was was alot of fun then at age 20 i put in a a15 which went great drove around in it for about a year until one day the bonnet came up and smashed the windscreen all over me took the old girl home and was thinking of what to do next.. I decided to buy a vl turbo and leave the ute in the shed for abit and try fix it up after traveling and being a young bloke partying decided last year time to fix the best back up me and a friend done the body work shaved the rear end seamwelded the engine bay with flat firewall the bay is smooth as and i love it now we are tubbing the rear end i just cut the tubs out and tonight i will be taking out the tray floor with the boys here are afew pics for you datto freaks to have alook at and tell me what you think..

need some help on removing tray floor any tips would help thank you

wardy you beat me to it lol... Im with you its alot i got my old vp ss retrimed last year for $3000 with the roof door cards and and all the seats done with SS put in the seats.. The place is called TQ Auto trimmers call mick 0412753376 these guys do alot of topend cars he knows his stuff good luck

hi mcdat... Just asking do you mean $3500 for all the interior retrimmed or was it just for the seats done? I might be reading this wrong

PIGDOG.... I think the sedan and wagon VEs are IRS but the diff i got is out of a ute which still use a standed diff thats why i was asking cause when my mate said i could have the diff i was like i cant cause its IRS then i was told not in the utes there not..

WARDY.. Im pretty sure the commodore utes vs,vt,vy and so on dont run a IRS its only in sedans and wagons

hi there goes just wondering which diff to use in my ute a mate of mine just gave me a VE ss comomdore ute diff disc to disc for free and i already have a old 9inch at home but just wondering which one would be better suited for my ute with 13bt i already have the maddat front brake setup and coilovers with holden stud pattern to.. So which one would be best and cheapest to change diff gears and so on?

want a14 or a15 any cond would love a supercharged one if any one has one and wants to sell...

Plans for the car is for now get it back together with all the glass back in dash seats all other interier parts in then work what next i have my old a15 still with twin dellortos from my ute with 5speed box might put that in and drive it around cheap on petrol seeing my daily now is a 355 stroker which is killing me lol...

DatsAndy .....Sorry mate but got there first lol you have plenty of datto's anyway lol.. But yes got it at a really good price trust me even came with full trim new roof linning done dash done and back and front seats retrimed there is no rust in floors or chassi or the doors boot there is alittle in the drivers side lower sill but thats about it and when he told me he was gonna scrap it i said ill take it and yes after thinking about the colour it is stay this way now to much work to chang.. Also has been modded for a front mount and larger trans tunnel but i want be putting in a ca thats for sure.. more pics to come on friday...
