I'm in the auto industry, I have a Nissan with a 4 stud pattern and I have no idea what the offset is.
I don't think 99.9% of all the people in the auto industry know or care about the offset of a Nissan with a 4 stud pattern.

I do, however, find it annoying when people in ANY industry don't really know stuff that they probably should know.

Oh, I forgot about the supportive comments I typically get from my family and friends. Like...
"You still have that thing?"
"When are you gonna get a new car?"

"The kids are not coming with us. Let's take the little car"
"No"

"Dude you make enough money, why don't you get a real car? That does zero to sixty in like what?"
"in like 35 miles per gallon fuker"

Usual comment is " Nice 510"

Gestures are usually a thumbs up and occationally on the highway I get kids revving their engines wanting to race.

I guess that's a compliment.

I too have an LC-1. When it works it's great.
They are a bit sensitive to how you wire them. You have to watch where and how you ground.
There apparently was a batch that has a problem. It will recalibrate itself after start up on occasion. This obviously throws the reading off.
I've been too busy to pull it out and return it for repair.

Back when I installed this, these things were known to pop when used with a high output coil. So I just used the stock coil for a while. Sometime later, I installed an MSD 6AL and used this to trigger the msd and blaster coil. I used to carry a set of points with me, just in case, for years but never used them.
