You know, I once was told that it's best to put the trans in neutral and let the clutch out when you sit at a light. It's suppose to save the t/o bearing an presure plate.

I never do and it's never been a problem.

I just thought i'd throw that in.

I think I should probably go to bed.

It's an H89 head. Small oval, closed chamber. Production manifold, homemade air cleaner. I think the valves are larger than the GX head.

I didn't realize the SU-type pistons didn't open up all the way when you floor the pedal

Actually, I think the pistons drop when you floor it. That's apperantly a draw back of constant velocity carbs.
I have to do this again. I've changed the damper oil from gear oil to 15w fork oil.
I'd like to snap pictures while i drive at a steady pace and see where the pistons are. Then actually stop and take notes. RPM, a/f, vac,
On that last video, I had forgotten what I had done by the time I got home.

Its a switch on the dash.
The pump will run if the switch is "ON"
AND
there is oil pressure OR the little overide button is pressed.

Do you need it? I don't know.

At this point I should probably declare that I still don't have an electric fuel pump. My car was in pieces a while back and I decided it was easier to add the wiring at that point for future use. I did however check to see if the wiring worked and it did and still does.

This is how I've done mine.
There was a thread about this a while back but I can't find it.
Basically, oil pressure turns on relay.

I've thought about using these. They are Suzuki Samarai transfer case mounts.
They are, however, about 10mm shorter.
