that what I couldn't remember - the shortening of the rod. Is the 310 one your showing from a "210" model car or the FT drive 310? I think the 1981 210 one I looked up at Oreilys had the off set ears for the mount.

thansk for the leads, you buy that coupe over there?

its a good way of understanding the setup when building but as DD said the A series lines up pretty well with the stock fixed keyways.

I made a positive stop for the piston to check the rotation which you'd need for the datsun motor as well.

thanks for the help, anys appreciated. I have to figure something out, I have no pedal pressure and no fluid leaking I can see so I assume its bypassing in the MC, i bought a new slave and wanted an MC, hopefully OE Nissan (Tokiko i think) but probably wont get that lucky....are rebuild kits available down under?

i looked at 210 and 120 MC's but I think the 120 (B210 74-77) has mounts at like 10 and 4 o'clock vs. 12 and 6 for the coupe firewall....maybe i need to do more homework

can I still buy one new OE anywhere? I checked with Nissan on the part number from the wiki - 30610- something (doing from memory) the 2nd number as its the one that superceeds the original and Campbell Nissan (DD - you know who I mean) said NLA - not produced even after emailing nissan to try and order it.....any suggestions, Canadian maybe or AU perhaps???

Thanks, Evan

would an auto trans fit the 1200 tunnel? my thought is stock for reliability and decent power with about 70% more than my A15) w/an auto will make a nice daily.

what about rear end - I assume stock 145 pumpkin wont be strong enough - will 150 from a 210 do it?

so after a few years and a few thousand miles I'm toying with the idea of more power / bigger motor. The A15 I built is pretty decent but I feel like it needs more power.I believe Ernie thinks KA is the way to go and as he's managed to burn thru a few motors and a multiple swaps this seems like a decent way to go but am wondering about possible motors as well. Nt really interested in turbo as seems like it always eats tons of space in a 1200 engine bay, would also possibly entertain an automatic vs. a stick if enough power can be had out of a mildly built KA or some such.

A manual trans swap would probably be easier as its already a stick, pedals, etc...
What did KA's come in that were rear wheel drive - frontiers, Exterra's, 240's ??

Just at the thinking stage now and it may never get beyond that but I am tempted so any thoughts are appreciated!
E
