Damn fine results for the beast, I assume you and Cam got some dry laps in at the start of the day from the times.
The sprite of Owen Crombies is quick isnt it!
His cornering speeds are so high!

OK! Sounds good to me. I copped heaps of aggro when i got done on a straight road approx 60 - 80 km from the nearest town, (between Colleambelly and Jerilderie). I didnt believe they could take points but it happened. Maybe SA are more civilised being the centre of OZ wine production

Sorry to put a damper on things 1200 rally car but with the national licencing system adopted in 1999?? you now lose points from interstate infringements.
I lost points of my Vic licence in NSW (3 points) and in Tassie (2 x 1 points) that took me up to 12 points.
I had to do a year with no points loss just to get my license back to square. I finished it in March.

Good pics but not so for the rollover/crash owners. Were all accidents from the one meeting?

I am looking for an A14/A15 con rod for a project engine I am starting on. The engine will most likely end up a sacrifice to the gods of speed. It will be fairly full on.

I want to use a set of 79mm forgies I have in stock and make another head up as close as possible to the A13 race engine.

My desk-dyno program suggests it should make some excellent numbers (160 -170hp and around 130 ft/lbs) but it may not be reliable enough at this bore size due to bore wall thickness?

First check fan belt tension then check for a sticking thermostat by putting it a pot of boiling water. The thermostat should open smoothly when the ater gets above the set temp for the stat.

If it looks a bit sticky pif it and get a new one as they are cheap.

Check your fuel pressure is still at least 2.5 Psi under sustained load. As the engine is held at longer periods of full throttle as you go up the gears the carbs can starve through insufficient pump capacity or too small a fuel lines.
