Yeah im doing about a weeks worth of work experience at a place called Foghorn records (also Damien Gerrard studios, affiliated).

Its in the suburb of Darlinghurst and on Crown st, i have no idea where either of these places are but hoping to get to know the place before i go.
I dont mind ruffing it, ive done it before and i can do it again!

Mite have to get onto some places soon, but im hoping to catch up (if i have time) with some of the Sydney based members if im up there, im yet to go in a CA powered 1200 - im deprived i know

Cheers

Gday fellas, im making the trek up from Tassie to sydney in october (mite be driving the ute up) and im just wondering wheres some good cheap places to stay at all?
Im doing work experience for a week & just need somewhere to crash for about 6 days! So maybe a youth hostel or the similar, or somebodies bed at their house

Whilst im up would be great to catch up with some of the members & see the rides cruising around sydney! Will most likley be early october...

Cheers

don't take this the wrong dave but with your track record for things going a little scew wif, i'd go down the datrats path, at least you know the quality will be top notch and you shouldn't have a problem

Ummmm thanks i think

Yeah i know ive had problems with my dattos but jeese its not like i wanted them to happen!
I was mearly inquring into what was done to the dizzy to get it to suit the A series engine, i never once said i'd be doing the work - f*ck no! Wouldnt have the foggiest where to start at all...

I was just wondering if any other engineers or workshop could do the same work kinda thing, post is another issue due to me being in Tassie which = more money.. money i dont have as im most likley moving to melbourne next year so thats gona be quite pricey!

Its either the S2 dizzy, E15 dizzy or petronix/fireball kit for my electronic setup & i already have the S2 (cheers harry) so this looks like my choosen path!

Hey guys i know that datrats do an excellent conversion on the S2 bluebird dizzy to be compatible with the A series, but what is actaully required to do in the process?
Sure changing of timing and the dizzy curve for the engine's specs but is there any internal work that needs doing apart from the the mounting plate and A series drive gear attached to the bottom?
I remember hearing that the counterweights go in the oposite direction but i have been known to be wrong on many occasions

Im a bit strapped for cash atm so im wondering if theres an easier option, but better to pay for high quality work than have someone else f*ck it up hey!

Cheers

I did exactly the same as converted described, couldnt for the f*cking life of me get the filler bolt out so i just took of the breather pipe and filled it ever so slowly thru there. Took twice as long but got the job done in the end.

Make sure to rest the end of the gearbox on something other wise all your new oil will be spilling on the ground! To ensure it didnt leak out when installing i just whacked the tail shaft back in there, bit of a hassel moving it around but worked for me!

Good luck mildman, these little things piss you off the most hey...

I pissed off one of the washers that go down the bottom, between the control arm and the bush as i saw it as kind of usless as the bushes arent going to wear that much, this gave me JUST enough thread to put the nut on.

Its a pain in the arse i know, especially when their brand new

No seriously, where are the pushrods. overhead what?

Looks the part, how much bigger are those valves compared to std?
And the whole saga with getting hardend valve seats to run unleaded, isnt this not needed with out datsun engines as they already can run unleaded (with a fuel additive tho)?
