Yeah im talking about the locking plate that stops the camshaft from falling out.....And yes it is an M6 not any different as i did that, i went to a shop and asked 'i need a tap kit and drill for this please' and they gave me exactly what i wanted, as to be expected.
The real question i had was has anyone really heard of people leaving broken shafts or cheap bums like the person(s) dattodude said of pushing the shaft back down the hole not cool!

Cheers
Dave

And yeah there is no pitch 1.5mm with a width of 9mm as that is pretty darn big or werid for an application like that, is this agreable??

Right so im re-assembling the brand new A15 donk (pics up soon as soon as i can figure out how to?!!)

So im putting in my lovely new Waggot Cosworth cam after the lifters are in and im putting on the locking plate 1 bolt in good, 2nd bolt OH SH|T the bolt head has snapped off....!!

Now this is common a bolt head coming off if its old or worn down i agree, but is it weird that it looks like someone has already snapped a bolt shaft off in there & the hole is smaller than the other?????
Alright i admit it i used a different bolt than what was in there as i lost it but surley they should be all the same depth?
So i filed off both edges of the bolt shaft and twiseted it out with some pliers, fine....
But now i have to re tap the hole but i shouldnt have to surley!!!! (does anyone know the tap size?? M4? M5?)

So in conclusion some1 has failed at doing something to my locking plate bolt hole to and has left me a large chunk of the old bolt shaft in there, i hate this person sooo soo much!!!

Any advice or comments??
Cheers
Dave

Whats so wrong with escorts? Surley you would not pass down an RS2000 if someone offered you a good price for one??!!
I like to think of these as a below verison Datsun coupe, their sporty and pack a #### load of punch when a lot a work done to them and their on the outer, ie quite rare for a fgood original one... I can think of #### loads of cars that would be better to blow up than an escort! What about a rice boy's crx or civic?? hahahahahah i would love to see that!

Whats the dizzy look like?? Has it got a 'notch' on the gear shaft not cuts or angled slits? It mite be an E15 or N12 dizzy out of the later pulsar models, these have a large black wire hanging out the side and the rotor cap and cap of the unit are smaller (i think) than an A15 dizzy... This mite help in identifying it!!
And is the gear housing HUGE compared to the A15 one coz then im guesing its an N15 one coz they are #### and too big!!

The H72 head is always sort after, look after it and keep it!

Yeah www.OzDat.com has great info on stanzas and 1600's (dedicated to the P510 and its brothers) but ask the fellas on there as there are many who have accomplished Z18, Ca18 and SR20 conversions..

Plus you could look to MadDat and other Aussie Datsun modification shops for x-members, suspension, engines and the list goes on...Just search around on here or OzDat!

Stanza's are a great rally car and look tough done up a bit...

Well thats my 2c worth!!

Dave

Why not stick with the L20b or L18 or L16?? great lil donk, not as good as the A series tho

Im using it on a mildly worked, fully recod A15...If i remember correctly the stock fuel pump gives about 1.5 - 2 lbs or pressure but iam probably wrong.

Some light shed please?

Dave

Oh and also, how am i supposed to get the pin out of the bottom of the drive gear on the E15 and A15 dizzy? i have punctured my finger to the bone already once and do NOT want to do it again!??

Will i need to purchase or change the flow rate of my fuel pump/regulator when i fit my 32/36 or it will be fine with the right jets? Dont the DGV's operate at a different psi?

Now i think about it its kind of a silly question coz if the jets are right then it should all be fine ey?!
