Even better, get a 1200 wagon then you can fit the pram and all the bits and pieces required!! And IF theres above 3 littlens' add extra seats in the back for a family wagon!!

Have you checked:
Welch plugs, air leaks, radiator cap, dirty cores in radiator, blocked/torn lines in radiator (little sh|t like grass reeds and seeds are buggers for these), water pump fins, kink in hoses, thermostat correct rating, are your water galleries blocked? reverse flushed the block or radiator? does water flow like the niagra falls?
There are SOO many options and the way to go is...ILLIMINATION!! tis key and then the problem will be solved!
When i bought my radiator (2nd hand) i ThOUGHT i got a bargin, good notch to...no way was completley stuffed! So i got the same one but fine nick for free!
A great test for radiators remove from car, hold your hand over the bottom pipe and fill up with water till full then let your hand off and it should flow out REALLY fast like im talking no water left in there in less than 15 secs (sounds about right??)
And before fitting again remember to reverse flush and forward flush the block and get all that crap out of the galleries coz we dont want any little nasties floating round that beautiful Datsun machinery!

I spose im stating the obvious here as the topics been brought up millions of times but this is my experience & im just sharing it!
Let us know how you go

Cheers
Dave

On that note what are the specs/stats/performance(s) of this motor and the S/C version, i.e in numbers?

Ive got 2 buggered ones but they are bent to #### and i doubt theyed be able to get recoed as the ball joint on the end is cracked and the shaft is bent in half!!
Any ideas?

Which would be the best value for money and performance? Opting for the series 2 bluebird dizzy and putting the A series drive gear in it or the points-to-optic igniton unit that Crane Cams has??

A bloke quoted 480 for the Crane igntion and i know that Feral has those units on DatRats.com.au but what is needed to change the bluebird dizzy to be compatible with the A series engine? It will still be running on the cam if using the bluebird dizzy wont it?
Do i need a better coil? balast resistor? new plugs, leads etc?

Anyone played with both of these units? or knowledge of these two units, like difference, reliability etc twould be great...

Oh also my A15 flywheel has lost a fair few teeth off the ring gear and the shop said it aint worth lighting it if its that shagged, would the A12 flywheel fit or how much would new teeth be or should i look in a wreckers?

Cheers

Yeah im with the red, the factory datsun B310 red was a really nice 'rich' in colour red and stands out well aswell as being a subtle classic red... My wagons red, the only real red i can really distinct is in the engine bay and the covered areas, the rest is just faded whitey red colour (due to looooonnngggg hours in the sun [previous owner]) but this red is a top colour i think for the B310's

But the honey brown that the 1600's use is really nice i reckon twould look pretty nice on a B310 coupe, twould look awsome lowered with trx rims
Or even the 'burnt orange' type they used on the toranas wold look a treat...

Classic colours are all the way

Cheers
