Am interested in some extractors to suit an A12 too if there's plenty lying around. Not in a hurry

Cheers

Hi All
For those in the market, I just had a 5-speed fitted and the motor refreshed in my ute by the name of a chap called Terry Brown from Datsezy Rebuilds in Nowra NSW.

The man is a wizard and meticulous, not to mention a nice guy. Note that he has almost every known part available for Datsun's from ute's to coupes etc and if he does not have it he either knows someone who has it - can build it, or he can make it himself.

He only does Datsuns, as previously raced them at Summernats etc. You can see images of his car on the OZDAT website.

In any event I was most impressed by his handywork (since no dumbass in Sydney could even fit the clutch right) and his operation and he's very reasonable. For the gearbox fit and motor it cost me $1500 - a snack!

Here's his number if you are interested:
SOUTH NOWRA 02-4421 6023 or 0407-066328

Hi
Another question..
When you do an engine rebuild with a view to running unleaded fuel or premium - are there any special things you need to take into consideration, like valve's, valve seats etc etc. If so, what names, or brands need to be used.
Thanks a lot.

Hi
Could someone please advise how I can stop my datto drowning every time it rains. when it rains (in fact moisture of any kind), the ute will turn over, but not start and sometimes even after running when stopped, won't start again. I have replaced the coil, sparks, leads, points, rotor button, condensor and it continues to happen. Is becomming very tedious....

N.b - motor is an A-12 in need of a rebuild - but should that affect ignition?

Thanks

I'm after a A series overdrive 5-speed in the Sydney area to fit a ute.

Will be interested in anything that is out there - buried in someone's garage.

Preferably will need before next Saturday 30th October....

If anyone can help please let me know
