It's a great feeling to have the final stages of paint over. Now the fun par begins. Putting it all back togther. It's hard not to rush sometimes when the end is so near. Take your time. It be worth it.
Hey mate thanx for the reply. The 1800 block is not as tall as the 2L block, so if your sump bowl is at the front then you more than likely will not have to mod the sump. Will show detailed pics o the mounts when I make them.
I got the l20 and 5 speed in the bay. But before I go welding up the engine mounts I still need to mod the sump to get it sitting a few mills lower. The way it is now there is about 2mm between the bonnet and the rocker cover. I will also need an after market sway bar to clear the oil pump.
Thanx mate. This is what I do for a living so it is prett easy for me. I only use after market panels if I rely have to. I think the original one is fixable so I will stick with it.
Thanx for the information. I got a fair amount done today. I noticed that the radiator support panel has a fair amount of damage so I decided to remove it. That way I can repair the damaged area and while it is removed it will be much easier to fit the l20b.
You can see the damage to the rad support in this photo.
