You would have to be tempted to ship that KB10 out wouldn't you?

If I had a car with an H165 I would snap this up Chris.
It will give kick arse acceleration, which is just what I love in a Datsun, the secret to blowing off V8 Commodores is the really low ratio diff, because you are never going to out gun them in the horsepower stakes with an A series.

I have seen the crown wheel and pinions for the H150 on Yahoo, but they are always very very expensive, so expensive in fact that I sold my BNIB Nismo LSD because I couldnt justify the cost of a decent ratio gearset to suit.

As your a beginner, go to Bunnings and buy a cheap but complete set of spanners/sockets and start working on the car yourself, the A series is the perfect engine for a novice.

Ask any questions you have here and you wont go wrong,(a shop manual is good too.)

When you do get some extractors, buy a gasket and fit them yourself so you learn how it all goes together, then drive to your exhaust shop and get them to join up the exhaust you have if they think its suitable or fit a new free flowing exhaust.

Your exhaust manifold is stock, so a high quality set of extractors will be a big help.
Often available here second hand.

The Datsun guard badges and shield placement give it away as an export model, the JDM cars have a sunny coupe badge low down on the guard with the shield just above it.

I had an old banger that I would top up with anything flammable if I was running out of gas, it was a 202 but I put metho and kero in it and it still went.
