i adjusted my'ne a couple of weeks ago and it still seems fine. what i did was i got a friend to wiggel the steeringwheel inbound with the play and slowly tightened the adjuster to the point where there was minimum play on the steeringwheel. about 5cm or so.

hey gary, really cool of you to offer your services like that.

I'm also from SA and having major headaches with the local suppliers in my area(somerset west - i can't complain about the service cause there ain't any ). I was wondering if you could get me a price on some new/used struts for a disc brake conversion for a 82 datto bakkie. It would be much appreciated thanks.

for the sake of intrest, how much extra power will a weber and zorst give you. Will it take a second of a quatermile or is this hopelessly optimistic. Keep in mind that i do a 19.3sec quatermile, point and laught now. I've got a weber at home that i still need to setup but i'm just not getting the time to do it and if its not gonna do much i might aswell not do the convertion.

I seriously doubt it. At best it will increase your throttle response. IMO

eish sorry dattodevil for not putting that link on an ftp but i see you made a plan.

I was the unfortunate victim of a cap(not the homeboy style where they put a cap in you but the one where SA monopoly telecoms scumbag company telscum only alows you 3gig a month for a 1000 ZAR ) and only got uncapped today.

10 degrees BTDC if memory serves me correctly(this is on an A14 don't know if the A-Series differ)

I don't have a timinglight so I usually just retart the timing until it stops to ping/knock. :-/
